Balancing act Sep 8, 2010 — The Miami Herald The commission also voted 4-1 to set a tentative tax rate of $5.68 per $1,000 of taxable assessed property value. Siple was the lone no vote on the tax rate. Both the budget and tax rate could change. A second, final public hearing and vote is scheduled for Sept. 21.
