Proposed nutrient management regulations for the Chesapeake Bay have drawn the ire of Maryland Sen. Barry Glassman, who warns the new rules could force farmers in the region out of business.
Formally proposed by the Maryland Department of Agriculture at the end of June, the new rules will be discussed at a legislative hearing today in Annapolis. They will also be the subject of a series of public meetings beginning this evening.
